Being stoned and having the power of the internet at your fingertips is amazing. Yesterday I started thinking back to that whole Elian Gonzalez case in 2000 (if you never heard of it because you live under a rock or are too young to remember click here and educate yourself.)
The story we were told in school was that his mother died at sea trying to come to america and dolphins dragged his inner tube to shore… Now that I’m grown, I’m a bit disappointed that I believed that ridiculous story lol
Anyway, I remembered the photo that the Associated Press released the day after the FBI captured him. I decided to google it on my phone…
A few things… Dude, why was there a photographer there during the raid? Why is that guy holding a gun to a child? That guy must have made a fortune off of this amazing picture…. well, unless this guy was his boss
I had googled “Elian Gonzalez” and there were a few pictures of him in 2010. It says that he’s happy to be home in Cuba and is studying at a military academy…. like Cuba’s government would ever let him live a normal life -__-
